I see a picture of a zebra running wild
Hiding in the night and in the day
And when he's sitting safe there within your home
If he has to leave you know he wants to stay
In a wild hot place where lions like to roam
The snakes out there would steal your life away
Where danger lurks behind every single bush
And the cheetahs dress to hide themselves away
On a lonely road that doesn't seem to end
Needing all your strength to stay awake
You push the boundaries to try and get away
But the unknown there still makes your body shake
A land of freedom seems so far away
Shifting in your life and in your times
And if you a feel chain that now surrounds you
You must believe that it is the loving kind
You had a life to lead where you could freely roam
Flying from land to land and far away
You found the strength to break free from your prison
You chose the sunny skies and not the skies of grey
I see a picture of a zebra running wild
Not hiding in the night or in the day
And now you're holding hands with another of your kind
Your life is laughter filled and that's how it should stay
A thousand years of time have come to pass
Feelings that were there have crept away
And you play your life like you haven't got a care
And that is the way you always want to stay
I see a picture of a zebra running wildHiding the arms of friendship from her mind
But if you felt a chain was trying to surround you
You must believe that it was the loving kind
I see a picture of a zebra running wildHiding in the night and in the day
And when he's sitting safe there within your home
If he has to leave you know he wants to stay
In a wild hot place where lions like to roam
The snakes out there would steal your life away
Where danger lurks behind every single bush
And the cheetahs dress to hide themselves away
I see a picture of a zebra running wild
I see a picture of a zebra running wild
I see a picture of a zebra running wild
