About Me
"I write books that I believe will be able to be read by different generations of the same family at the same time, and each will get something unique from the story!"

"It's quite a bold statement but, with feedback received so far, I believe I am succeeding in my goals."

Writing Genre
All of my books live firmly in the Fantasy Arena, but I will keep sweeping in with reality and leave you thinking and pondering a little!

I cannot write a story that will take you from A to B; I want to write stories that will take you on an emotional ride and, more importantly, I want to write stories that you can read more than once and, at each successive reading, get something new from the book!

A young lady called Kath Wilson produced the artwork for a number of my books and has completed 'The Occasion Mists,' 'The Truth of the Dragons,' and 'Cobwebs of Pearl.'

The image of the Seagull wearing a party hat (which appears all around this site) is taken from the arkwork of the cover for 'Danny and Bongo Wiggins go to Caterpillar Kingdom.'

The Seagull is Bongo Wiggins, a main character in the Danny and Bongo Wiggins stories (Caterpillar Kingdom is released and...
Danny and the Cold Xmas
Danny and Dolphins
are both works in progress.

THE LITTLES VOYAGE - current W.I.P.
Completed Chapters 29, 30, 31, and carried out some editing/revision.

These chapters are relatively small and 'Unveiling the Future' is a gamble in its placement.  Normally, the contents of this chapter would have been placed close to a particular event in the story.  Howerver, I am trying a different approach and am including it earlier.
For those who know the story and characters, this will be a bit of a shock... because they will have to read this and then continue the story whilst they are aware of a traumatic event which has to take place.

Word count for the day is 7,267 words.

There's alot happening today!!!!!
All the files for Cobwebs of Pearl are now in the hands of the designers, so work can begin on the cover, etc

I am able to continue work on The Littles Voyage now that Cobwebs of Pearl is at this stage, and I have started today, (continuing from where I was up to, as well as writing an end scene for when we have to say a final goodbye to one of the characters!  But which one?).

There are now 68 Songs in the song section.  A song called 'You Know, I Know' was written and added today - along with the chords.

22/11/2008
Final work is being carried out on 6 black and white images which will sit with in the finished novel.

11/11/2008
Artwork collected and is ready to go to cover design stage.  Holding back for possibly 2 weeks while some other artwork is produced.
At this time it is expected that the finished book will contain a number of black and white drawings compiled by Kat Wilson after she completed her own reading of Cobwebs of Pearl.

05/11/2008
Artwork for the front cover of Cobwebs of Pearl is completed and awaiting collection.  The artwork will be passed to Design Company for production\design of the final book cover.

Once this stage is completed then writing will recommence on THE LITTLE'S VOYAGE - which was placed on hold at the end of July 2008 (the original expected completion date for the cover artwork.)

Originally, it had been planned to include black and white images within the book itself.  Possibly 8 images in total, spread thoughout the book, with each depicting a scene from the story.  Unclear at this stage whether this will still be happening.

31/10/2008
The ending of COBWEBS OF PEARL has been slightly extended - to give the reader a taster of what will happen later in the overall story.

Artwork for Cobwebs may be delayed - rescheduled from end of July to the 25/10/2008

Readership testimonials
The feedback that I have so far recieved has, in the main, been positive, and does lead me to believe that I am succeeding in the areas that I want to.

Not everyone's style of writing is liked by every reader, but here are a few quotes that I am pleased to have recieved.

'I love dragon stories, and the idea that the main character is a dragon with a full name, and conscience is prodigiously fantasic. Your writing style is one that I can understand and your descriptions fill my mind with images that some well known authors don’t.'

'I’ve never read a story from the dragon’s point of view before. I felt sorry for the little fawn who was about to become a meal and covered the dragon’s egg with her body. The way you handled the dragon in battle was well written and imaginative.'
&

'This was a beautifully written story and it left me begging for more since you tease your readers by leaving us at a cliff hanger.
What happens in the battle between man and beast, what of the egg, Graffee, the fawn?
Im on edge and i hope you help me out.'

"I wanted to write a review about the truth of the unicorns.

I am not a big reader of books and I have never finished one. But after reading truth of the unicorn you have given me inspiration to read a lot more. I was taken on a rollercoaster of emotions through this book. At times when I thought I had figured out the story another twist sent me in a completely different direction, the pictures that it painted in my mind where that of a visual masterpiece. I look forward to reading the next book of this author."

This is an incredible read... and I've read A LOT!!!!! It's also very addictive; you won't be able to put it down.
Please don't be put off by the biblical flavour of the synopsis as it really does set the stage for this incredible story.
Packed with detail and description that brings it to life.
Teenagers and adults of all ages who are into fantasy stories would love this.
Buy it NOW! or you will miss out on something great.
I look forward to the next addition by this new and up and coming writer

I enjoyed this book immensely, though its not what I thought it would be, and I am reading it for the second time already!  A wonderful story about love, courage, bravery, honour, and loyalty, amongst some of the gentlest creatures of this world.
See the cruelty of humans through the eyes of the ones that they persecute.
A tear-jerker, where drama unfolds, and takes your emotions on a rollercoaster ride!!!

Danny and Bongo Wiggons
Go To Caterpillar Kingdom
Julie Moorcroft
"Danny and Bongo is an exciting book of adventure and disappointments for the main character, a young boy called Danny, who does not know where he belongs.
A seagull enters his life but dies soon after, only to return as an angel, full of powers that will ensure Danny gets the adventure he craves for.
With 2 dogs for companions, they set out to rid Caterpillar Kingdom of an evil alien.
Don't think the story is for youngsters, this is definately for adults as well!
Very funny, very sad, and full of surprises!
I would recommend this book to everyone.
