Likelihood is had that 'The Sacrifices of the Unicorns' will be renamed to 'Unicorn Sacrifices,' jury still out at the moment on that issue, though. 17/03/2009 Continuing editing of Sacrifices of the Unicorns (hoping to take my mind off BP issues) Have uploaded opening scene onto its own page. 16/03/2009 Work pattern has changed from today and I will be working a 5 day week now that shifts are over. Unsure how this will affect the time I am able to spend typing at the moment. Sacrifices of the Unicorns:- work continues, have completed 650+ words tonight. Current size of work is 105,609 words. 10/03/2009 Quite a bit been happening lately. COBWEBS OF PEARL is available on lulu. My copy arrived yesterday, and was only ordered end of last week! I will not be making this available through normal distribution channels, but a copy can be obtained from http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=1160500 for a limited time only. Price is steep, due to credit crunch and lulu putting up their manufacturing\material prices, etc. I can only apologise for this but it is beyond my control at this time. There is an electronic version avail for download for only 2.81, so that will be a better option for some, hope that helps. WITHIN THE HEART OF TIME I will be designing a simple cover over the coming month, and will make this available on LULU also, but it will not be available to general public. This is just so I can have a printed copy to work with for checking for further editing. This also gives me a good form of copyright. THE LITTLE'S VOYAGE I hope to get a cover done for this so that I have my own copy. 'Within The Heart of Time' and 'The Little's Voyage' will not be getting self-published in the near future as I want to begin trying to pitch them towards Literary Agents\Publishers (Long slog, but it's got to be done!) If required, 'Danny and Bongo Wiggins,' 'The Truth of the Unicorns' and 'The Truth of the Dragons' will be removed from published lists sometime in the future. Currently working on 'The Sacrifices of the Unicorns,' which is basically taking the original unicorns story and preparing it for a more mature audience than the original Unicorns story was aimed at. The story will be expanded upon, include whole new scenes. When work completed on 'Sacrifices' I will be using that to try to pitch toward Literary Agents & possibly Publishers. Once these tasks are completed and I am in the process of sending out Query Letters I hope I will have come to a decision about the next project that I will concentrate on. Options are currently, Within The Heart Of Time - Part II Danny and Cold XMas Arthurian Time Crisis The Duties of the Dead (working title) 26/02/2009 'Within The Heart of Time - Part 1' was completed today, and it was a sad event really... this has been my love for the last 12 years and it was a joy to be so involved in it. I could never complete the ending until other 'events' were finished and cast in stone and there are specific scenes within the book that will stay with me forever. There will be much reviewing of this, as I go over all the events to make sure I have all the major details - and the little ones - safely in memory. Future projects are Query Letters, Cobwebs of Pearl (final cover design), Danny and the Cold Xmas. At this stage I am unsure which will take priority. It will be a year or so before 'Within the Heart of Time - Part 2' can be started. 18/02/2009 Not been doing much due to being unwell. Due to 'incident' last Friday, I ended up with Blood Pressure of 181/106 and so have had to take it easy. Have managed to get some more work done on the UNICORNS editing, but have approx another 15 pages to go before I have what I will need for Query Letters. The Ending for 'Within The Heart of Time - Part 1' is outlined and can be completed when time available. 11/02/2009 Re-writing/editing of the Truth of the Unicorns has begun. Book increased by approx 5,000 words so far, because of additional material. Database developed to support the tracking of Query Letters, Literary Agents, Publishers, etc. To track the letter sent, how long to await reply, email addresses, website links, etc. Will upload some screenshots over the next week or two, if I can get time. 29/01/2009 Work has continued on 'Within The Heart of Time - Part 1.' Pages 266 Words 160,127 The original work has now been edited and brought up to date. Approximately an additional 20,000 have been added to the original draft. Some new elements have been added. DECISION TIME I must now decide on whether to... 1)Do what Doc's have said and limit my time on the writing. 2)Continue with 'Within the Heart of Time - Part 1' and take the story to completion. 3)Begin trying to create Query Letters and contacting Publishers\Literary Agents. Initially, will spend rest of today doing further work on Literary Agents that it may be worth trying to contact. 28/01/2009 Work has continued on 'Within The Heart of Time - Part 1.' I have edited\revised, and updated the first 244 pages of the 277 that I have to do. A decision will then be made whether to continue and complete the story or carry out other work (not related to book writing). 12/01/2009 Work has restarted on 'Within The Heart of Time - Part 1.' The work follows on from Cobwebs of Pearl and The Littles Voyage and was mostly completre when work was halted to concentrate on other projects. Currently stands at approximately 142,000 words. I am re-reading, editing, and making slight adjustments to the story. Hope to have this completed with 1 to 2 months. Currently not chasing up about Cobwebs of Pearl artwork because of other opportunities on the horizon. Waiting for a meeting at the end of next week. Have updated web site with a link to WITHIN THE HEART OF TIME, and have included the Introduction and complete 1st chapter and partial chapter 2. I will complete chaper 2 once I have finished editing it.
